Base fuel

Up to 4 decimals. Base price used in your fuel surcharge clause — the reference level fixed in the contract with your client.

Actual fuel price

Up to 4 decimals. The price you apply for this period under that same contract (e.g. average over a month, or a specific index day).

Fuel share (%)

Percentage of fuel in the transport price — i.e. what share of the total price is treated as fuel-related (30 means 30%).

Fuel trigger / tolerance (%)

A band as ±percentage points (e.g. 5 means ±5%). If the move between base and actual fuel stays inside this band, no surcharge adjustment is applied. If the move goes outside the band, the surcharge calculation applies.
